For a Spanish language study are Murcia, Salamanca and Santiago de Compostela some very nice student cities in Spain.
For outdoor sports or winter sports, the Pyrenees and the Sierra Nevada in Granada form a well appreciated paradise.

Food and drinks
Spain is famous about his tapas, the small snacks. Besides that, paella (rice dish with shell fish) is a typical Spanish dish.
In Spain lots of national dishes are prepared with garlic and olive oil. Also try the typical Spanish Sangria.
For a Spaniard dinner doesn’t start before 9pm.
Drinking water from the tap: not advisable.

Every morning at 8 oclock the bulls run through the streets. Participation is free.

Further to the south, prices are a little bit more economical, for example in the area around the Mar Menor and in
Andalusië you can still find a small beer for 0.79 £ and a pint of lager for 1.51 £. In Spain it is completely forbidden to smoke at work and in restaurants bigger than 100 m2.
